Wonderful Gifts for the Bridesmaids at your Bridal Shower

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Bridal shower favors are the most effective way for the Bride-to-be to allow her guests know how much she appreciates their gifts and their presence at her party. The made of honor might also be the one that selects and purchases the shower favors.

A well selected bridal shower favor also leaves your guests with memories of the good times. The good news is that there are great bridal shower favors available today to fit each need and budget. These are some tips and ideas that may help you pick up a bridal shower favor that may work like a charm.

The difference between a marriage favor and a bridal shower favor is that there are often less guests at a bridal shower and every one of them are generally truly near to the bride. This implies that, if feasible, it is smart to spend a little more on your bridal shower favors than you would on your marriage favors. You can even make the bridal shower favor for each guest a little different. You might, as an example, give out some simple, yet sublime, jewellery like a chain or a bracelet with the guest’s zodiac sign or first as a charm or pendant. Otherwise, present a silver picture frame with an image of you and the guest. For novel bridesmaid gifts, give your guests a gift token for a day at the spa. Another brilliant idea is the present of tickets to a new Broadway show or, if that is outside your budget, to the hit romantic comedy film of the summer.

Get individual photographs taken with each of your guests at your bridal shower party. Then get the pics converted into magnets with the date of your bridal shower inscribed below. Send them to your visitors later – they’re going to remember your bridal shower for a while to come! Even a straightforward and comparatively cheap bridal shower favor is actually appreciated if they mix great design with functionality. By giving your bridesmaids’ their marriage day jewellery at our bridal shower, they can each go home with a special present of jewellery that they can wear on other occasions.

Other options may be a heart jewellery box or maybe a Chinese jewelry box. Whatever fits your style, your thoughts about the women you are purchasing for and your budget. Gifts for the bridal party are special and that suggests you must make the effort to present them as a thank you to them in the flesh.

Inexpensive Print at Home Wedding Invitations

Saturday, January 10th, 2009

Planning for a wedding is a stressful time for any bride to be. With prices on everything skyrocketing, many modern brides are finding that they have to compromise on many things. Finding the balance between a lavish, expensive wedding and a miserly one can be difficult, and the last thing a bride wants to spend hundreds of dollars on is a set of expensive wedding invitations.  Lucky for brides today, there are kits that can be purchased online so the crafty girl (or not so crafty) can make inexpensive print at home wedding invitations.

These inexpensive wedding invitations are easy to print, and anyone with access to a standard color printer can do it: even the groom can handle this job! With a custom professionally printed set of invites retailing for well over $200, buying a kit such as the Laura Ashley Jacket Invitations from a website such as the wedding shop at EyeCandyGift.com is the perfect solution at only $39.97. No one will even be able to tell that you printed them yourself! A bride can still get professional looking invitations for a quarter of the cost, and that means she won’t have to compromise on important things, like the dress or the guest list.

Cheap yet fun honeymoon getaways?

Monday, August 4th, 2008

This may seem a bit odd, but the best wedding present I received was tickets to Opening Day at Fenway Park. My wife and I are avid Red Sox fans and had never seen the opening day festivities before. Normally, for the first game of the season we have to try to get to a restaurant at lunch time to try to catch some of the action. Having tickets to the game also meant that the two of us would get to take a day out of work together, we never get to do that.

This year was extra special because we weren’t the only ones in the stadium with new rings, our beloved Sox were being given their 2007 World Championship rings! I will never forget the day that my new bride and I got to spend together in the beautiful April sun on the first base line.

I do not mean to seem ungrateful for all of the other wonderful gifts that we were given by our friends and family, but being at that game with her made us both feel so alive. I can’t say that I will always remember the silver picture frame or crystal that we received on our wedding day, but our trip to Boston we will never forget.
