We appear to treat father’s differently on their Special Day than we do mother’s on Ma’s Day. Maybe it is due to the fact we’re wired differently. I have discovered that men are seriously appreciative of any easy loving gesture made for them. But because fathers have hobbies and sports interests starting from one end of the range to the other, the day is celebrated with a myriad of activities. On Pop’s Day, and everyday, we have to be more aware of the generous efforts the pas in our lives make on our behalf. Let’s be optimistic that dads everywhere understand the unique role they play in our lives, in the lives of their youngsters, and in today’s culture at large. Let’s be optimistic that on Pop’s Day, pa’s everywhere felt special. That they know, deep down within, that their efforts on our behalf are completely recognized, actually appreciated, and very cherished.
